About SAS

Our Value to You

SAS Data Retrieval is your nationwide wholesale research provider specializing in criminal and civil court records research. The company’s standards were built upon three industry valued principles; constant communication, impeccable accuracy, and fast turnaroundtimes. SAS Data Retrieval strives to be the leading records research provider in the background check industry while always retaining a close personal relationship with each and every client.

Mission:

SAS Data Retrieval’s mission is to set the standard in the background check industry for accuracy, dependability, and customer service country-wide so that every American has the opportunity to confidently and reliably secure housing and employment.

Vision:

Our vision is to shape a world built on trust while redefining research excellence by challenging the status quo in the background check industry.

Start with the customer

With our customers at the center of all we do, we are committed to deeply understanding our clients’ needs and work as partners to create and clearly communicate relevant solutions.

One team, trusting culture

We believe that the success of the company depends on the cohesion of its team. It is with teamwork and information sharing that we are able to overcome our challenges successfully.

Challenge Ideas, Champion Decisions

We value maintaining a safe space to share concerns and vet ideas as it is the foundation of a trusting team. All our team members are encouraged to share their opinions and ideas. Once the decision is made, we all jump onboard.

Lead with Accountability and Integrity

We are in the business of accountability and integrity and we take our role very seriously, not only with our clients but also with our team members. The role of a leader is to create an environment in which their team feels supported, are provided clear expectations, and encouraged to uphold a high standard of quality.

Listen to Comprehend

The biggest communication issues and missed opportunities happen when we listen to respond rather than to comprehend. There is more than one solution to any problem and taking into consideration the opinions of others is critical to finding the best solution.

Face Situations with Empathy and Objectivity

We believe in putting yourself in the other person’s shoes in order to better understand their perspective with compassion without letting emotions cloud your judgment. We encourage our team to  remain open minded and compassionate while considering facts objectively and non-judgmentally.

Set Clear Expectations

We provide clear expectations to both clients and team members without making assumptions. We believe by being clear and concise we promote healthy teamwork and alignment.

Think Outside the Box

Challenge the status quo and allow for innovation to happen. We explore ideas that are creative and unusual by not limiting ourselves to be controlled by preconceptions. There is always more than one way to solve an issue and the best solutions can change over time, so we strive to think big enough to address issues at the root.

SAS Data Retrieval Team

Seth worked as a researcher for a public record retrieval company prior to founding SAS Data Retrieval. While the other company was successful, Seth saw many opportunities to make changes that he thought would greatly benefit the clients, the end users, the operation of the company, and the industry overall. In 2015, shortly after graduating from business school, SAS Data Retrieval was born. The ideas such as constant communication, use of technology, and a different management structure were put into practice and received nothing but positive reviews from each and every client that we have had the pleasure to work with.
